Here's my show at The Haberdashery

今回は今行われている私の展示会場のご紹介をします。

北ロンドンにあるCrouch Endという静かな街にポップでヴィンテージなThe Haberdasheryというカフェがございます。
こちらで私は7月15日まで展示会をさせていただてます。

I show my exhibition which is now going until 15th July. I'm pleased to have that at a lovely cafe called
The Haberdashery is located in Crouch End in North London.

愉快だけどとても落ち着く場所です、たくさんの方が友達や自分たちの家族を連れてケーキやランチ、

ブレックファストやお茶、コーヒーを頂きに来ます。

Many people who come here and take their friends, colleague or family for having a meal or tea.

This is exciting but very comfortable place.

この日は友達が4人も来てくれて、その間にホットのホワイトチョコレートを頂きました。私はこの日お昼食べてなかったからお昼も食べた、なんかベジタリアンな感じのバーガー。・・・・という感じのレポートでした！ロンドンにお住まいの方やこの時期ロンドンに遊びに来る方はぜひお立ちよりください。一緒にお茶しておしゃべりしましょう、お待ちしています。

This day my friends came down and we had hot white chocolate was so lovely. I got vegetarian burger as I didn't eat a lunch, everything is fantastic. Please please pop in if you live in London or come to London. I'll welcome you to have a chat and tea!

doodle diary - fourth week June

6月18日〜24日まで！
昨日は初めてのフェス行ってきました、会場入りする前にちえちゃんと近くの公園で強風の中弁当をいただき、お互いに特に夢中のアーティストがFlorence+The Machine以外いなかったので冷静に過ごしたけど、どろどろだったので歩くのが大変だったせいか帰って早く寝たのに今日の夜まで疲れが取れず・・・いつかフェスでもBlood Red Shoes見たいなぁ。

Yesterday I went to Hackney Weekend that was my first music festival! Before that, my friend Chie and I had a lunch at the nearest park with strong wind. There was only Florence+The Machine which is our favourite, we spent very calm but there was so muddy and hard to walk. That's why I'm still tired but I slept a lot last night! I hope I could see Blood Red Shoes at music festival someday...

この週はたくさんのお友達が展示に見に来てくれました。髪を一年分（自分で）切って、友達のにい（西村夕貴ちゃん）が帰国したり、先週会った犬Luluとその飼い主が展示に来てくれたり、フランス人の友達のMarieになんとThe Haberdasheryで会えたり、学生の卒展、YAOMART・・・色々ありました。

A lot of my friends visited to my show, firstly I got hair cut (by myself), then my friend Yuki Nishimura got back to Japan, a lovely dog Lulu (I met her last Sunday) came to my show with her owners, I could surprisingly see my french friend Marie at The Haberdashery, and went to the final degree show, and YAOMART... lots of things were happened.


ちなみにYAOMARTは来月の21日でロンドン最後のマーケットになります。
先ほどウェブサイトを更新しましたのでぜひご覧ください、日本で開く方もアーティストのみなさんにメールしなくては！
のんびりですみませぬ・・・ウェブサイトも少しずつ新しくしていきたいっすね。

Next YAOMART is on Saturday 21 July which would be the FINAL market stall in London.
I updated the website in a short time ago, I'll have to email to artists in Japan for future YAOMART!
Also I'd like to renew the website little by little.

doodle diary - third week June

週に一度、instagramで投稿したイラスト日記をブログにまとめることにしました。

この絵は日曜にELCAF - East London Comic & Art Festivalに行った日ので夜はAnnaと折り紙で遊んだ。
そして風邪ひいた。

Once a week, I post my illustration diary on my blog which is normally updated on my instagram.

This one is that I went to ELCAF - East London Comic & Art Festival and played origami with Anna after that
and I got a cold

The Book Clubで重い朝ご飯を食べながら楽しいプロジェクトのお話をしたり、ずっとぬいぐるみを作ってたり、

展示会が始まったり、強風のGreenwich Parkへ行ったり。

I enjoyed talking about fantastic project with my new friend, I spent lots of time for making toys,

my show has been started, and I went to Greenwich Park with my friends and strong winds.

今週はどんなことあるかな。

What is happened this week?

Private View: DOOOOOGS!! in London

初めての個展で初めてのオープニングパーティ。

たくさんの方が来て作品を楽しんでくれたようで嬉しかったです、 ただ私はやっぱり緊張していました。

反省

It is my first solo exhibition and first private view.

I'm really glad many people came and enjoyed my new works, but I felt quite nervous honestly.

I have to learn how to be at these kind of place.

ホストファミリーも来てくれたー

My host family visited!

AnnaとAsherは学校のあとだから疲れてたのとちょっと緊張したみたい。

でも作品楽しんでくれてジンやカード買ってくれてとても嬉しかったです。

Anna and Asher was a bit tired after their school and also shy but they were excited my works. 

They got my postcards and zine, thanks a lot!

大学院のJanet先生も来てくれたよ！ありがとうございました。

I'm pleased my tutor from MA Camberwell Janet came down, Many Thanks Janet!

今回写真ちゃんと撮れませんでした、というか私のデジカメも古いし、技術の問題もあるんだけど。実は私の母はカメラマンだったのでその点うらやましいです、絵描きなのだからもっとちゃんと撮れるようになりたいなぁ。

時々カフェに行くのでそのときにあらためて写真撮ります。

I couldn't take good pictures, also my camera is so old and I don't have confidence to take. My mom was a photographer so I'm jealous. I would like to take nice photos as I can draw. I would sometimes visit to cafe so I'll try it again.

会場ではバッグ、ジン２種、グリーティングカード３種、ポストカード１０種、A4プリント１０種、そして犬の小さなぬいぐるみを販売しています。

I'm selling: Bag, 2 types of Zines, 3 types of Greeting cards, Postcards and A4 Prints from 10 new illustration works and small dog's toy stuffs.

2 days left and started diary

今日、展示の作品搬入に行ってきました。
いい感じだと思います、という変な感想なのですが、展示前ってわくわく感と加えていらいらと不安だらけになりその状態で作品展示するので展示完了直後はよく判断できないのです・・
ぬいぐるみ作るよーん。

Today I finished hanging. I think it's great but I don't know at the moment, I can't always judge while I prepare for my event as I feel nervous, but also excited. It means, I'm always mad.
Well, I'm making toys!

そういえばほんのここ最近なのですが、 絵日記なるものを再スタートしました。
まず、私は日記を付けるのが苦手なタイプです。
やるぜー→たのしー＆今日の分書いた→次の日、もう日記という存在を忘れる
というのを繰り返し、下手すると謎のノートが数冊あるという状況。
今回は・・・（え？続くわよ！）
instagram（に凝ってる、実は）に乗りながらもっと絵を駆使（？）して
毎日のことを描いてみよう、です。これはきっと続くワヨ！！！！！

I RE started diary with drawing recently.
I'm not good at writing diary though (therefore I have some notebooks which I just wrote down something for my diary), maybe I can carry on this with using instagram (I really like this now).

ダイヤモンドジュビリー（パソコン上）と制作中の机
制作は一応終了！（というのは今回はスペースがないため。日本ではさらに量を増やして展示します）ということで今プリントに出しています。とにかく始まらないと落ち着かないタイプなのでずっと緊張したりイライラしたりしてます、一人で。なんてことないですが

Diamond Jubilee on my PC and working in progress
I did all illustration for my show in London, but it isn't enough as I'll make more for Tokyo's show (because Tokyo one is at gallery). So I went to order for my prints today. Until my exhibition is started, I can be relaxed, but it's at all the time, I feel very nervous, annoyed...but never mind as it's normal for me.

公園に散歩しにいったらやっと鹿を近くで見れた。
そんなことより日曜に大きなイベントがあった、それはホストファミリーの結婚式。

I hadn't seen deers at ally park recently but it doesn't matter. I was invited for my host family's wedding ceremony which was the biggest event for me (Jubilee) weekend!

ビ、ビートルズがやけに目に刺さる・・・
その手前のかわいいフラッグが付いたのはChuppah（ホッパー）という式のもの。
ダンスしながら家族登場〜

I think Beatles' picture is quite strong...anyway, there is Chuppah with lovely flags.
The family came down with dancing!

式も食事もスピーチも昔の写真公開も終わってパーティー、というのがわかりやすく撮れたと思うこの写真（笑）私は子供たちと一足お先に帰宅し、子供たちを寝かしつけました。人生で三回目の結婚式だったんだけど一回目は普通？、二回目はクリスチャン、三回目はユダヤ系だけどとてもカジュアル。私は今回の式にはとても感動しました。すごく楽しかったし、すごく印象に残る、そんな素敵な日でした。ありがとうそしておめでとうSusuとVic！そして写真送るわ、週末に！

The last photo expresses 'let's have a party!' I went back earlier with their kids and put them to sleep. It was the third time to attend wedding, I felt really impressed and enjoyed (first one was normal, second one was Christian, then this one was casual Jewish!). I appreciate to be invited and very very celebrate them. And I have to send these photos till this weekend.

展示まで残り二週間切ってしまいました。
楽しいけれど緊張してます、その間にも見に行かないけどエリザベス女王のジュビリー、ホストファミリーの結婚式、
友達の展示のプライベートビューが何個かありなんかイベント多くて頭ん中くるくるしてます。

It's in two weeks till my show!
I'm really excited but quite nervous... and also there are many events:
Diamond Jubilee (sorry I don't go), wedding ceremony of my host family,
few of my friends have private view... busy!

水曜にケンブリッジに行ってきました。Daniel Frostさんの展示会を見に、
そしてIllustration Rallyという素敵なイラストのブログサイトを運営している大谷夏樹さんに初！対面に。
初めてとはいえ、たくさん色々なお話できてとても楽しかった。
めっちゃありがとう、夏樹ちゃん！


On Wednesday, I went to see an illustrator Daniel Frost's exhibition in Cambridge and met
my illustrator friend Natsuki Otani who is an organiser of fantastic illustration blog Illustration Rally.
It was very very nice to meet her, I enjoyed talking with her. Thanks Natsuki!

今日はAugustinの参加してる展示会へ
建物がキャラクター化されてかわいくておもしろい
そして久しぶりにイラストの仲間に会えて話したのも良かった。
金曜日は友達に誘われてMae Martinさんというカナダ人のコメディショウを見た。
友達の名前もMaeで少し話もできて楽しかった、また見たいなー

Today I went to see an exhibition which Augustin joined.
His work illustrates personified buildings are funny and so lovely.
It was nice to see lots of my illustrator friends there.
Yesterday my friend took me for a comedy show by Canadian comedian Mae Martin.
It was funny because my friend's name is also Mae.
I wanna see Mae Martin's show again!
