無事に終了しました、ザ・東京アートブックフェア！

最後の日曜には雨だったにも関わらず、三日間たくさんの方に来ていただき本当にありがとうございました。

Successfully finished, THE TOKYO ART BOOK FAIR! Despite the last day was raining, many many people came down to this event for three days. Thanks a lot :)

隣でポーズをとってくれてる方は、今度デザフェスでYAOMARTに参加してくれる角裕美ちゃんです！隣のブースだったのは、本当に偶然。たくさん素敵な出会いがあり、たくさん素敵な作品にも出会えて、勉強もできて日本戻ってきて最初のイベントで貴重な経験ができてよかったです。来年も参加するぞー！！

A girl next to my booth is Hiromi Kado who is going to join YAOMART at Design Festa in November. Fortunately we met here (we didn't know each other, just contacted by emailing)! I had really good experiences like meeting lovely people, works, and also getting knowledges... happy to join this event as first in Tokyo. Hope I could attend next year too!

このフェアは日本だけでなくNievesをはじめ海外のインディペンデントの出版社、そして印刷会社も参加していました。ロンドンで見てきたものと雰囲気が似ていてそれに日本のものがプラスされてたので懐かしいようなふしぎな感じだった。私はInstagramでアップしてきた絵日記をまとめたものを販売しました。残りあと6冊！

This fair, there're printing companies and independent publishers from overseas including Nieves. It was a bit strange and nostalgic feeling for me because I used to see them in London. I sold a collection of my doodle diary which was shown on Instagram. Now only six books!

土曜にフェアから帰宅したらトリミングされてました。
She had a trimming on Saturday.

prepare for events this year

今週の金曜から日曜にかけて参加するTOKYO ART BOOK FAIR、チラシが届きました。金曜のレセプションパーティーにはインビテーションが必要になります。もう少し涼しくなるといいなぁ。

I received flyers from TOKYO ART BOOK FAIR (from Friday to Sunday), you would need invitation if you'd like to come on Friday is the reception party. It's still a bit hot and humid weather in Japan, hope this week could be cooler!

11月末に開くにじ画廊さんでの個展のDM、新しい名刺もできました。

先週の月曜は、もりしたかずこさんの個展へ。
SMILE JAPANのメンバーが全員日本にいるのでここでにいも一緒に再結集しました。図書館のポストカード買ったよ。バッヂは相馬市の震災孤児への寄付金を得るためにかずさんが作ったもの。かずさんはもう少しでロンドンへ戻っちゃうけどまたロンドンか東京で会おうね。

Last Monday, I went to Kazu's exhibition in Tokyo.
Now members from SMILE JAPAN are in Japan so Kazu, Yuki and I got together there. I bought one post card of her illustration about library. She will go back to London soon, hope to see her soon!

Papero - collaboration work

お知らせ：
ロンドンを拠点に様々な分野で活動しているデザイナーやアーティストをオーガナイズするEpha3より、韓国のクラフトペーパーで模型を作る作品を提供するPaperoとコラボレーションさせて頂きました。7日から11日までフランス・パリにて行われるMaison et Objetにて作品が公開されます。

NEWS:
I worked with Korean craft paper model company Papero from London-based PR agency Epha3,
shown at Maison et Objet from 7th to 11th September.

私の作品は二点。飛行機に蜂を描き、車には犬を描きました。
Epha3のウェブサイトにて他のアーティストによる作品も見ることができます。

My works are two: Biplane - I drew bees, and Buggy car - dogs.
We can see more works by more artists at Epha3 website.

ナナが先週の木曜に下痢をまき散らすという事態が起きて、そのとき私は新橋にいたのですが急遽帰宅して・・・家を母と掃除しました。冷房病に少しかかったみたいで今はもう大丈夫（今現在は私の隣で雷におびえている）！

Last Thursday I was in Tokyo but went back quickly for cleaning up with my mom in my house as Nana had diarrhea. She was sick by cooling of air conditioner was a bit strong for her. At the moment, she is sitting next to me as being scared by storm!

日本にいるけど、イギリス人の新しい友達が一人増えました。Bunny Bissoux!
先月のAlternative Press FestivalでLizz Lunneyと知り合い、彼女の友達が日本に滞在してる＆只今個展中（現在は終了）とのことで遊びに行ってきました。Liquid Roomの中にあるKATAギャラリーで隣にカフェがあるんだけど、カフェでずっと話してたね、きっと３時間強はいたかも。作品が日記で全部シュールで面白かった、次に会えるのはTokyo Art Book Fairでかな？
また会いたいな〜

I made a British friend Bunny Bissoux in Tokyo! At Alternative Press Festival, I met Lizz Lunney and she introduced me Bunny who was having an exhibition in Tokyo. There's a cafe next to the gallery (called KATA gallery is the inside of a live house Liquid Room), we're there for 3hours! I really enjoyed to see her works which are diary style and very very funny. Maybe we'll see at Tokyo Art Book Fair for the next. See you there, Bunny!!
