At Shibuya Tokyu Hands

お知らせでもお伝えしましたが、現在渋谷の東急ハンズ７階にありますHINT 7にて前回の個展「DOOOOOGS !!」より犬のポートレート、犬バッグを展示・販売しています。渋谷、渋谷のハンズにお越しの際はぜひ遊びに来て下さい。
2月2日（土）まで。会場にはかなり落ち着けるカフェもあり！

I'm exhibiting and selling dogs' portraits from my latest exhibition DOOOOOGS !! at Shibuya Tokyu Hands 7th floor HINT 7. It's until Saturday 2nd February. Please come there and there's a cafe which is really comfortable.

ハンズで搬入を終えたあとは、久しぶりに展示を見に行きました。森美術館にて会田誠展。
全ての作品が深くて、おもしろい。特に戦争シリーズが好きです。写真は唯一撮影可能だったおにぎり仮面

After hanging my works at Tokyu Hands, I went to see an exhibition by a Japanese contemporary artist Makoto Aida. His works are grotesque and erotic though, I quite love them and also especially like war series. This is the only one which we can take a photo, Onigiri Kamen.

携帯なので上手く取れないけど、ヒルズのビューから見た夜景です。久々に見て、綺麗だった。
I can't take because it's smart phone. This is from 52 floor at Mori Building, so beautiful.

 

A HAPPY NEW YEAR 2013!!

A Happy New Year 2013 !
あけましておめでとうございます！

今年は4年ぶりの日本でのお正月、正直楽しいです。いつも年越しは紅白〜行く年来る年だったんですが、我が家は数年前からケーブルに入ったので最終的にケーブルでポールマッカートニーの特番を見ながら年越しました。しかし…やっぱり紅白〜行く年来る年の流れがらしい気がするなぁ。おせちおいしかった。

I'm very excited to spend new year in Japan :) My family had a osechi in the morning, was yum.

今年なのですが、来週6日（日）から2月2日（土）まで渋谷東急ハンズ、ハンズ・ギャラリー・マーケットにてDOOOOOGS !!のちょっとしたミニ展示をします。追ってまたお知らせしますのでしばしお待ち下さい。では本年度もどうぞよろしくお願いします。

This month, I'll exhibit works from DOOOOOGS !! at Shibuya Tokyu Hands Gallery Market from 6th to 2nd February. I'll announce more detail soon.

個展が終わり、お仕事を一点させて頂いた後、我が家では大掃除で忙しいのですが
今日のクリスマスはお呼ばれされまして素敵なお食事を頂き満腹になりました。

My family is hugely busy (and tired) to do housecleaning, and went to a lovely Christmas party.
We're so full by amazing delicious food. Thanks!

THANKS: DOOOOOGS !! Part 2.

こんにちは！ここ一週間、東京と横浜もすごく寒くなってきた気がします。私は年末、我が家の4年ぶりの大掃除に参加するのでちょっと心なし不安（寒さに耐えるために）風邪ひいてる暇はないのでふんばって行こうと思います。

Hello! Winter is coming to Tokyo and Yokohama, it's very cold. In few weeks, my family will clean up whole of our house (it's the one of habit in Japan to welcome new year. I haven't helped for 4years) so I'm worried doing that in cold weather. but no time to catch a cold! Anyway, here's more photos about my exhibition which is continued from this post.

ここのコーナーでは、なんで犬の絵をこんなに描くようになったのかについて答えました。ロンドン滞在中に飼い犬が出てくる夢をやたらと見てから、犬を恋しくなり始め、気がついたら絵も描いてた、という。そんな、感じ。

In this space, I answered to 'why did I draw many dogs?'. While I was living in London, I often had dreams about my dogs in Japan and I was getting missing them, then I've started to draw them when I realised.

THANKS: DOOOOOGS !!

初めての犬ばっかりな個展「DOOOOOGS !!」が先週火曜日、無事に終了しました。ご報告が遅くなり申し訳ないです。今回本当に初めて自分で展示会を開いたのですが、たくさんの方に来ていただき、楽しんでもらえたことも、本当に嬉しい限りです。
(I wrote down English version at the bottom of this post)

実際、一番始めにどのような展示にするかと決めるところから、そして私を取り巻く犬をメインテーマに展示方法を展開していったところから、どのようにみなさんに楽しんでもらえるか本当に不安と緊張でいっぱいでした（もちろん楽しさは常に忘れませんでしたよ〜）。一度決まっても、考え直し、新たな部分が決まってから原点に戻るという作業の連続でした。次回の展示会のことも考えていますが、もっともっと楽しめる展示会にしたいと思います！

では、展示の様子です。ちょっと二回に分けてお送りしたいと思います。

東京・吉祥寺という素敵エリアに垣間みえる犬のバンド・・・

着きました。

こちらが今回展示させて頂きました、にじ画廊さんです。
1Fは様々な作家さんの商品が置かれているショップになっています。

This is the place which I had an exhibition called Niji Garou.
It has a shop at the ground floor, the stuffs are from several artists.

展示会のテーマについて書かれています。
It explains what I choose the main theme 'dog'

こちらは犬をメインに描いた初期の絵。2010年に修了した大学院での作品でもあります。
This picture was made in 2010 when I completed MA in London. The first one I drew in a theme about dog.

これらの絵は私の飼い犬を取り巻く実在する犬たち。今の犬は三代目なので数えきれないほど友達がいる！
These works are my dogs' friends, hard to count them all! They are/were existed, actually.

ここのエリアはインタビューコーナー（自分で自分に質問してる、痛い・・・）です。続きは次回、お送りしますね。

Last Tuesday, my first solo exhibition DOOOOOGS !! were successfully finished! Sorry I was late to post it. I really appreciate to many people who came to my show, and also they enjoyed it.

Actually I felt very worried and nervous from starting to think about the plan of the exhibition, and how people feel or how get a fun (but I never forget the fun, of course!). I often reconsider when I decided something once, and returned to the origin after determine the new one. Now I'm relieved. I'm planing for the next exhibition, will try that is more exciting.

最後に展示期間中に発表できなかったことを。
BOWOWOWというこれから出版予定のイギリスの犬雑誌（犬だぜ！）のウェブサイトにて日めくりカレンダーの元絵を担当させていただきました。ぜひぜひ毎日めくってみて下さい。

Lastly, this is that I couldn't announce as my exhibition last week. I contributed an illustration for an advent calendar which is by British dog magazine (will be launched next year) BOWOWOW. Please enjoy turn over the page of dates everyday.
