I draw this picture for a website of a bakery called
PAIN de CONA in Japan.
The explanation about it and me in English is after Japanese sentences below.
PAIN de CONA（
パンドコナ）という素敵なおいしいパン屋さんが
私の日本のお家の近所にあります。
パンドコナのオーナー高橋さんと奥さんのひとみさんとは
私が小学校低学年からのおつきあいです。
今年6月に帰国する前から高橋さんから私と仕事をしてみたいかもという
話が出ていました。私もパンドコナのパンも雰囲気も大好きなので
まさか一緒に仕事をさせていただけるなんて夢にも思いませんでした。
その第一弾がこちらの作品「犬も大好きなパンドコナ」
今現在、パンドコナのウェブサイトの表紙を飾っています。
高橋さんご夫婦は猫派なのですが笑、パンドコナというお店には
よく犬が繋がれていて飼い主の方はお店の中で買い物をしてます。
まぁうちの犬もそうなんですが ・・・（しかも文句垂れるんだよね、ナナは！）
ちなみにうちではくーたんと黒ナナはパンドコナのパン好きでした。
（そのためにわざわざ買ってないです、パンの耳が無料配布されてたときに
よくいただいてたのです。 今のナナには贅沢させていないみたい）
なので犬も大好きだよーということを含めてそういう絵にしました。
まだまだ私たちの共同作業は始まったばかり
私は色々と迷惑をかけてしまうと思いますが、
たくさん楽しく新しいことに挑戦していきたいので
よろしくお願いいたします。

http://www.p-cona.jp/PAIN de CONA is located near my house in Japan, it is between Fujigaoka and Aobadai station in Yokohama. My family has been already customer since the owner Mr. Takahashi and his wife Mrs. Takahashi opened the bakery in that area, so when I was around 7 years old.
Mr. Takahashi tried to ask me to do illustration for the website before I went back to Japan in June. I was really happy to hear of that, I love stuffs from PAIN de CONA and also the atmosphere of the shop!
The concept of the first illustration for PAIN de CONA is 'Dogs love PAIN de CONA as well' (it appears by Japanese in the picture) because my first&second dogs Coo-tan and black Nana enjoyed to eat. In addition, we can see dogs wait for their owners in front of the entrance as it's available to buy some stuffs after taking dogs for a walk. Mr&Mrs. Takahashi love cats actually, but I thought I should illustrate dogs first.
Our collaboration is just started and it maybe inconvenient sometimes, however, I'd like to try anything with them. It must be fun! Always thanks a lot, PAIN de CONA!
